Concrete Dry Finisher - Grandville, MI

5:00 a.m. start time: working outside year-round the dry finishers complete the final finish on poured concrete product, using power and hand tools. A keen attention to detail, excellent attendance and a strict adherence to KPI and OSHA safety requirements are required in this role.

Crane Crew Ground Guide - Grandville, MI

5:00 a.m. start time: working outside year-round the ground guide works in close contact with the Crane Operator throughout the entire shift. The ground guide assists with the loading and offloading of all product types safely and efficiently for on time delivery. Strong communication skills, excellent attendance and a strict adherence to KPI and OSHA safety requirements are required in this role.

Construction General Laborer - Grandville, MI

Various start times on 1st and off shift available: working with a team of 2-10 crew members the general laborers assists and supports the crew in producing high quality precast concrete products through a variety of tasks daily, including but not limited to cleanup, setting forms, pouring and screeding concrete. Basic construction experience, ability to read tape measure within a 16th of an inch, excellent attendance and a strict adherence to KPI and OSHA safety requirements are required in this role.

Concrete Wet Finishers - Grandville, MI

Various off-shift start times: working with a team of 1-4 crew members the concrete wet finishers are responsible for providing specified textures and finishes to precast concrete products prior to the curing process. Excellent attendance and a strict adherence to KPI and OSHA safety requirements are required in this role.

Concrete Mixer Operator - Grandville, MI

4:00 a.m./9:00 a.m. alternating start times: works to support production by providing mixed concrete and upkeep of the batch plant. Performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to mixing concrete, cleaning, preparing and inspecting mixers to ensure appropriate working order; monitoring raw materials to ensure proper utilization and inventory levels. Customer service, math skills, excellent attendance and a strict adherence to KPI and OSHA safety requirements are required in this role.

Fab/Weld-Steel General Laborers - Grandville, MI

4:00 a.m. start time: Working to meet production demands the general laborer is responsible for ensuring production has all required steel products for producing high quality precast products. Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to, counting, labeling, and stud welding. Excellent attendance and a strict adherence to KPI and OSHA safety requirements are required in this role.

Quality Technicians - Grandville, MI

Various start times on 1st and off shift available: working closely with production the quality technician ensures products are inspected at various stages of production to ensure quality standards are met prior to producing and shipping precast concrete products. Excellent attendance and a strict adherence to KPI and OSHA safety requirements are required in this role.

Carpenter - Grandville, MI

6:00 a.m. start time: working to meet the demands of production the carpenter creates custom form work, from drawing to finished product. Must be able to read blueprints, read a tape measure with in a 16th of an inch, excellent attendance and a strict adherence to KPI and OSHA safety requirements are required in this role.

Estimator - Grandville, MI

Working closely with sales, the estimators analyze drawings, specifications and proposals to prepare accurate cost estimates, budget quotes and quoting of potential projects for precast products or services. Experience in estimating precast concrete jobs is preferred, strong communication skills, ability to read, interpret and understand A/E drawings and blueprints is required. Excellent attendance and a strict adherence to KPI and OSHA safety requirements are required in this role.

Project Manager - Grandville, MI

Works closely with internal support departments (e.g. sales, estimating, engineering, detailing, accounting, etc.) and customers the project manager takes several projects from start to installation and final completion. Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to, scheduling, problem solving, overseeing scope (e.g. quality, quantity, finish, caulking, etc.), and coordination of various trades. Must be organized, have excellent communication and follow through, attendance and a strict adherence to KPI and OSHA safety requirements are required in this role.

Payroll Clerk - Grandville, MI

8:00 a.m. start time: working with the accounting team and various department supervisors the payroll clerk is responsible for processing of weekly payroll to ensure on time and accurate payment of wages to the employees of Kerkstra Precast, Inc. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, clerical duties, data entry, report writing, audits, etc. Excellent attendance and a strict adherence to KPI and OSHA safety requirements are required in this role.

Detailer - Grandville, MI

We are currently looking to add a Detailer to our team. The Detailer draws erection drawings and shop tickets for precast hollowcore projects ranging in size from residential to small commercial with degree of difficulty from easy to medium; draws small, simple wall panel and solid slab projects including erection drawings, and/or shop tickets; assists other detailers as part of a team to create material lists and shop tickets; reads and interprets construction documents including A/E drawings and specifications for incorporation into KP erection drawings; prepares plant and field bulletins; prepares drawings for engineer's remarks and cleans up drawings after engineer's review; prepares final drawings for production and electronically transfers information to the plant; coordinates other trade's requirements with plank including mechanical openings, stairways, masonry, steel, and concrete; utilizes knowledge of various engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings; must adhere to all Kerkstra Precast and MiOSHA safety rules; must work within the attendance policy guidelines. The ideal candidate will have experience in AutoCAD 2012 or newer. Revit is preferred but not required.

Detailer III - Grandville, MI

We are currently looking to a full time Detailer III to our team. The individual must have at least 7-years of experience detailing precast concrete structural products (e.g. Wall Panels, Stairs, Double T, etc.). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to drawing erection and detailing drawings for wall panel and solid slab projects including erection drawings and shop tickets ranging in size from small to large with degree of difficulty easy to very difficult, from start to finish. Panels can be cladding or load bearing. Additionally, the person will have a responsibility for calling and writing RFIs to customers, architects, and engineers and has the ability to resolve “drawing type” and simple engineering questions. Education will consist of an Associates or equivalent work experience. Computer/Technical – mastery in AutoCad 2012 or newer, experience in Revit is preferred.
